Carly Clinton joined Desiderio, Kaufman & Metz, PC’s mortgage finance department, where she previously worked as a summer associate and also gained experience as a legal extern and law clerk. At the firm, Ms. Clinton is involved in litigation, as well as the day-to-day management of current matters and new cases.
Her practice involves real estate litigation, construction defect cases, and right of succession cases with her main focus on the mortgage finance department. In the mortgage finance department, Ms. Clinton represents lending banks in their lending transactions for condominiums and one to four family houses. In addition, Ms. Clinton also assists in securing loans by cooperative apartment shares and proprietary leases. To date, she has participated in over one hundred of the firm’s closings.
Ms. Clinton completed her law degree at Hofstra University’s Maurice A. Deane School of Law. She graduated from St. John’s University with a B.A., magna cum laude, in Psychology.
Ms. Clinton is admitted to practice law in New York and New Jersey and she is a member of the New York State Bar Association and the Nassau County Bar Association. She also served as the Communications and Development Editor for the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel Law Journal.
